Thesis – Develop a Power Measuring Device

Axis develops security audio products, including speakers powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE), where each power class imposes strict consumption limits. This thesis aims to support greater use of the available power without exceeding those limits. The project focuses on developing a high-resolution power meter to measure device consumption in detail.

The assignment

• Determine the measurement resolution and bandwidth needed for the application.
• Design and develop a power meter circuit board.
• Test and verify the resulting design.

Who we are looking for

• The scope allows for two students undertaking a bachelor's or master's thesis; the candidate description specifically targets master's students in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or a related field.
• Applicants must be enrolled at a Swedish university or university college, either directly or through an exchange programme.
