Beskrivning
Accessible power consumption measurements help engineers develop more energy-efficient network devices, assess design decisions, and identify unexpected changes over time. Collecting these measurements across development and automated testing environments can still involve manual work. This thesis at Axis Communications aims to create a solution that simplifies access to power consumption data during regression testing and product development.
The assignment
- Investigate, design, and implement a solution for collecting and accessing power consumption measurements.
- Retrieve Power over Ethernet (PoE) measurements from a measurement board using serial communication.
- Define an easy-to-use interface that automated tests and development tools can access.
- Reduce the physical connections and configuration needed to set up measurements in the test environment.
- Enable integration with existing data collection systems for storage, visualization, and analysis using tools such as Apache Superset.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or master’s student in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Development, or a related discipline.
- Affiliated with a Swedish university or university college, either directly or through an exchange programme.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux, serial communication, data engineering, or visualization is an advantage.
What we offer
- An open, friendly workplace that values collaboration and encourages new ideas.
- A culture focused on developing skills and improving ways of working.
