Master's Thesis: System Simulator for Data Collection

Training machine learning models requires large volumes of efficiently collected and labelled data. This master's thesis at Huawei Sweden R&D aims to expand an internal hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environment from link-level to system-level simulation. The extension will enable in-house capture of behaviours such as mobility between cells and form part of a larger system incorporating simulated and emulated mobile phone use.

The assignment

• Extend the existing link-level HIL environment to support system-level simulation for data collection.
• Enable the simulation environment to capture behaviours associated with movement between cells.
• Develop the system-level simulation environment as part of a broader setup that includes simulated and emulated mobile phone use.

Who we are looking for

• Master's student in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
• Experience in software development, wireless communications and networks, or data collection for machine learning training is advantageous.
