Industrial Engineering Software Exploration

Industrial engineering software is used to structure, analyse and improve complex manufacturing processes. Recent advances in Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents create opportunities for interacting with engineering software. The objective of this thesis is to investigate and evaluate approaches for developing reliable AI agents capable of executing multi-step engineering workflows through MCP-based tool integration. The project will involve investigating different AI-agent architectures, exploring interaction with industrial software, and developing a working prototype integrated with AVIX.
